Achraf Remok
Achraf Remok, writer and independent curator, holds degrees in cultural and gender studies, as well as in curation.
His curatorial career explores themes such as the sacred, cosmopolitanism and ethnocentrism.
He is co-curator at Le Cube – independent art room and has organized exhibitions in Morocco and abroad, collaborating with institutions such as Contretype in Brussels.
Achraf Remok has supported emerging and established artists, curating notable exhibitions including “Le Corps Spirituel et l’Esprit Charnel” at the Palais El Badii for the 1-54 Marrakech 2023 fair.
As a cultural columnist for Diptyk, he contributes to the “incubator” column and is the author of texts that have appeared in collective works. He shares his experience at seminars and conferences, notably at the International University of Casablanca and IIHEM, as well as at Oxford University in England.
Achraf Remok is currently engaged in research into women curators in Morocco and their impact on the evolution of modern and contemporary art over the last century. This study promises to explore the significant role of women curators in shaping the Moroccan art landscape.
