Stéphane Leger
Independent art critic and researcher, the work of Stéphane Leger falls within an approach crossing gender studies, art history and critique, and aesthetics.
He is particularly interested in contemporary art practices and representations which put in place strategies that take us beyond the identity paradigm.
Stéphane Leger currently does research on theoretical and historical articulations between gender, identity and territory as conceptual and critical frameworks.
In this context, he examines the identification of the “masculin” gender in the visual arts since the 1960s, and feminist theoretical and critical publications about North American Minimalism and Post-Minimalism Art.
Since 2018,Stéphane Leger closely collaborates with the French artist, Anne-Charlotte Yver, in order to develop a subjective and dialogic writing.
