Yana Tamayo
Yana Tamayo, born in Brasília in 1978, is a visual artist, curator and researcher.
She is a founding partner of Nave, an autonomous art space where she developed research and educational projects in art, curatorship and execution of exhibitions (2015- 2019).
She holds a PhD in Art from the University of Brasília – UnB (2015), a master’s degree from the same institution (2009) and a specialist degree from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2006).
Since 2000, Tamayo has been working on different fronts in the field of art associating the spaces of art, curatorship and education by thinking different platforms of dialogue with audiences and the public sphere.
She lives and works in Brasilia.
