Pro Helvetia’s residency programme offers artists from Switzerland and from regions covered by its liaison offices the opportunity to spend up to three months in a new creative environment. These residencies foster artistic exchange, reflection, and the development of new projects, collaborations, and ideas, based on a fundamental condition: having time and space at one’s disposal. Some residencies result in public presentations or open workshops, while others provide a more flexible framework focused on research and exploration.

The open call for residencies in Switzerland and in the regions covered by the liaison offices is launched once a year, from 1 January to 1 March. The selection process is completed in July, and the residencies take place the following year.
