The Earth was not a body, but a wound
how would be possible, the journey
between the body and the wound?
And how to settle there?
Adonis, in Singulars
In conversation with urbanist Houda Hissar and Achraf Remok, curator, Souki Belghiti will present her first photographic book When we walked on thin air.
Both a time capsule and a melancholic urban wander, this photo book aims to offer a space for contemplation in the face of “the feeling of loosing ground in this world, the permanent instability with which we must now deal” in the words of Houda Hissar.
The images, which could emanate from the near future, collide to capture the complex emotions that the entanglement of brutality, fragility, and absurdity but also the haunting beauty of our time arouses.
Questions about the patterns of the urban factory, the circulation of those patterns, and what our lifestyles and urbanization are doing to the world (and to landscapes) are the starting point for a broader discussion.
