Following her participation in the Caravane Kafila 2023, a project initiated by the Institut Français du Maroc which took her for 30 days from M’hamid Ighizlane to Ouarzazate, Le Cube invites Hanane El Farissi to a residency to pursue the research initiated during her nomadic sojourn.

The artist will pursue her project entitled Esprit paysage et poésie, based on a reflection on the alchemist’s approach and the transformation of sandy materials. During her residency, she intends to develop several of the ideas she collected during the caravan.

Hanane El Farissi bases her work on everyday objects, places and poetry, as well as on her own questions about the construction of the individual. Using a variety of media, she explores the straitjacket of stereotypes and their representations.
