On the occasion of the summer’s lab, Le Cube – independent art room is pleased to invite Loutfi Souidi to carry out a month-long research residency.

As part of his residence, Loutfi Souidi wishes to develop a new project, “Je veux être artiste”, that focuses on notions of punishment, learning, repetition and destiny.

By taking as a starting point concrete situations from his daily life, related to his childhood or his life as a young artist, Loutfi Souidi wants to shed light on the irrationality of certain contexts and their impact on our future lives.

As a work space without the purpose of an exhibition, this summer’s lab, which takes place at the same time as Mouhcine Rahaoui’s residency, is intended to be a privileged time for the deployment of new techniques and research.
Artists are encouraged to engage in experimentation and to open up new possibilities for their projects and creations.
