Hicham Houdaïfa
Hicham Houdaïfa has been a journalist since 1996. He has worked for several press organizations, notably the le Journal hébdomadaire and La Vie économique.
He is the co-founder of En Toutes Lettres, a publishing house specializing in essays, where he directs the collection Enquêtes and also the author of several books: Dos de femmes, dos de mulet: les oubliées du Maroc profond (Editions En Toutes Lettres, 2015) as well as Extrémisme religieux, plongée dans les milieux radicaux du Maroc (Editions En Toutes Lettres, 2017), an ouvrage which received the Grand Atlas Jury Prize 2017, and Enfance au Maroc, une précarité aux multiples visages (Editions En Toutes Lettres, 2020). He has also edited the book Migrations au Maroc: Impasse?
Hicham Houdaïfa is co-founder of the training program Openchabab, a masterclass specializing in training in cutting-edge journalistic values and techniques and is also the instigator of two trainings on fake news, conspiracy theories and speech of hate (Openchamal and Openjanouf).
Since 2017, Hicham Houdaïfa is the coordinator of the project Hikayat Shahrazade, a capacity building program for women (self-esteem, promotion of critical thinking …) as well as a training of precarious young women in storytelling techniques.
