Ninon Duhamel
Art critic and independent curator Ninon Duhamel has been Head of Visual Arts at La Condition Publique, a multidisciplinary arts and cultural venue in Roubaix, since 2022. There, she curates and produces a programme of temporary exhibitions in collaboration with a range of partners.
In this context, she also develops artistic projects and residencies, supporting visual artists in the conception and production of new works. These include François Dufeil, Louise Mutrel, Amalia Laurent, Flora Moscovici, Aïda Bruyère, Coraline de Chiara, Manon Sarah Thirriot, Marie-Noëlle Deverre, Nour Sokhon, and Ziad Naitaddi.
Her curatorial research focuses on the forms and uses of language in contemporary art. She is particularly interested in how artists engage translation, writing, correspondence, storytelling, song, and orality as materials for creation.
Ninon Duhamel has curated the exhibitions Living in Several Languages (2026, [mac] Marseille, produced and organised by the Beaux-Arts de Marseille – Campus Art Méditerranée), Telling Stories (Transpalette, Bourges, 2023), and À voix haute (La Graineterie, Houilles, 2020).
She is currently preparing an exhibition project dedicated to correspondence and forms of long-distance communication in contemporary art: Writing to Each Other, to be presented at Transpalette (Bourges) in autumn–winter 2026.
Ninon Duhamel has also collaborated with several contemporary art institutions and organisations, including MAC VAL (Musée d’art contemporain du Val-de-Marne), La Graineterie (Houilles Art Centre), CACC Chanot (Contemporary Art Centre of Clamart), 50° Nord (a cross-border contemporary art network between Hauts-de-France and Wallonia–Brussels), and ANdEA (National Association of Higher Schools of Art and Design).
She lives and works in Lille.
