As part of the exhibition Emotional Lands and in cooperation with the Festival Salam Music a projection of the Cannes award-winning short film AYYUR (Moon) by Zineb Wakrim takes place at philomena+.

The film shows beauty in what is often seen as strange. Wakrim’s protagonists are 14-year-old Hasna and Samad, so-called moonlight children who cannot tolerate sunlight. For them, art and painting are a means of resisting and capturing the light in the midst of their darkness.

After the screening, the internationally renowned master of Gnawa, Majid Bekkas, will give a concert in a small circle.
