Romane Piffaut
Romane Piffaut is trained in contemporary dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Danse de Lyon where she studied the repertoire of several choreographers such as Maguy Marin, Lali Ayguadé, Pina Bausch or Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
Since then, she has worked with several choreographers, Jazmin Londono, Ana Adam, Khalid Benghrib, Léa Leclerc, Bouziane Bouteldja.
At the same time she co-founded the company QUAI 6 and created a dance/theatre/psychology piece, Le testament d’Amélia. This creation is part of an Art as Therapy approach and is thus proposed in partnership with various hospital structures.
In 2020, Romane moved to Morocco and became involved in the TURBA collective, a research group that aims to create links between artists in the region. She brings together her different practices, which are dance, textile design and painting.
She gives an important place to transmission and animates numerous workshops/trainings to share contemporary dance in universities, colleges or with young pre-professional dancers.
