Sasha Huber & Petri Saarikko

Sasha Huber with Swiss-Haitian roots and Petri Saarikko from Finland form a visual artist duo based in Helsinki, Finland. They have been working and exhibiting both collaboratively and individually around the world since early 2000 and have been invited to several international artist residencies.

They have initiated independent art spaces Kallio Kunsthalle Helsinki (2011), Finland and Kallio Kunsthalle Wellington (2016), Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Their Remedies (2011) project was launched during an urban art festival in Botkyrka, Sweden, exploring methods of oral and remedial healing in diverse geographical and cultural contexts. Remedies has taken multiple forms of expression, from live performance to video in Sweden (Biennial Fittja Open, 2011), New Zealand, Australia (10^th Mildura Biennial, 2015), Haiti, Russia (Art Prospect Festival, 2016), Germany, Tasmania, Latvia (1^st Riga Biennial, 2018). It will be realised in Staten Island, USA, 2019.
