Camille Dumond is currently in residency at Le Cube – independent art room, an initiative undertaken in partnership with Pro Helvetia Cairo.
During this event, the artist presents her approach and her projects. The latter take form from contemporary heterotopias, and invite us to question what remains of history when the phenomenon of transcription into fiction occurs.
This meeting is also an opportunity for Camille Dumond to introduce her ongoing research in Morocco. They take as a starting point, the context of production of the “Five eyes” publication. This book brings together the stories, told in Arabic, of Ahmed Yacoubi, Mohammed Mrabet, Abdeslam Boulaich, Larbi Layachi and Mohamed Choukri, transcribed into English with modifications by Paul Bowles.
The event also includes discussions between the artist and the public.
