Ziad Naitaddi’s artistic work for the exhibition Emotional Lands invites us to question our own prejudices and biases by focusing on the dichotomy of good and evil and examining the subtleties of behavior of people experiencing migration and the external and internal changes that come with it.
In conversation with Elisabeth Piskernik, curator of the exhibition Emotional Lands together with Achraf Remok, Naitaddi provides insights into his work and his artistic approach for the exhibition Emotional Lands as at philomena+ in cooperation with the Festival Salam Music.
The exhibition Emotional Lands explores the complexity of human emotions in a rapidly changing world. What experiences trigger feelings? What causes our feelings to change? The artists Maria Hanl (Vienna) and Ziad Naitaddi (Salé) explore these questions and look at the topic of migration and political manipulation from their own perspective.
The Iranian Oud player and singer-songwriter Avin Ahmadi, who lives in Vienna, will accompany the talk with her music.
