The launch of the exhibition Les Palmiers Fatigués will take place through a talk with curator Markus Waitschacher, in the presence of artists Regula Dettwiler, Seif Kousmate, Edith Payer and Ghita Skali at the Goethe-Institut Rabat on 23 March.
The exhibition will open the following day at Le Cube – independent art room.

How did art works featuring palm trees from Europe end up in Morocco? And why have these palm trees become so tired?

In the curator’s talk, Markus Waitschacher gives an overview of the genesis of the exhibition Les Palmiers Fatigués. In dialogue with the present artists, he discusses various projects and artworks and invites the artists to share their personal reflections and their artistic approach to the theme. The discussion will be followed by an exchange with the audience.

The discussion will be held in English.
